Mobile App Development Company in Kolkata

Flint De Orient builds mobile apps for iOS and Android from our office in New Town, Kolkata. Customer apps, field-force apps, delivery and driver apps, marketplace apps, and the admin panels and APIs behind them. We handle the whole path — design, build, store submission, and the updates after launch — so you are dealing with one team, not a designer, a developer, and an agency.

What we build

Native iOS & Android Apps

01

Swift and Kotlin builds where performance, hardware access, or platform-specific polish matter more than sharing a single codebase.

Cross-Platform Apps

02

React Native and Flutter apps that ship to both stores from one codebase — the right call for most business apps, and roughly 40 percent cheaper to maintain.

Field Force & Delivery Apps

03

Offline-first apps for staff who work where the network does not: attendance, GPS tracking, proof-of-delivery photos, digital signatures, and sync-on-reconnect.

eCommerce & Marketplace Apps

04

Catalogue, cart, Razorpay and UPI checkout, order tracking, push-driven re-engagement, and a seller panel — connected to your existing inventory system.

Backend APIs & Admin Panels

05

The half of a mobile project nobody quotes for: the API, the database, the admin dashboard, push infrastructure, and analytics.

Store Launch & Updates

06

App Store and Play Store submission, review rejections handled, phased rollouts, crash monitoring, and a release cadence after launch.

Native or cross-platform — the honest answer

Most Kolkata businesses asking for an app do not need two native codebases. React Native or Flutter gives you both stores from one build, one team, and one bug fix instead of two, and users cannot tell the difference for a typical business app. We recommend native only when there is a real reason — heavy graphics, deep camera or Bluetooth work, background processing, or a UI that must match the platform exactly. We will tell you which one your app is before you commit budget.

  • Cross-platform: one codebase, both stores, roughly 40 percent lower build and maintenance cost
  • Native: maximum performance and full hardware access, at close to double the cost
  • Either way the backend API, admin panel, and analytics are built once

Built for how India actually uses phones

An app tested only on a fast connection and a recent iPhone fails on contact with the real user base. We build and test against the conditions your customers are actually in — mid-range Android devices, patchy 4G, and data plans people are careful with.

  • Offline-first data layer that queues actions and syncs when the network returns
  • Tested on mid-range Android, not just the latest flagship
  • Small install size and lean image payloads for limited data plans
  • UPI, Razorpay, PhonePe, Paytm, and card payments integrated properly
  • Regional language support where your users need it
  • Battery and background-usage profiling before release

From idea to store listing

Store submission is where first-time app projects usually stall. We handle the whole release path, including the parts that get apps rejected: privacy policy and data-safety declarations, permission justifications, screenshots and listing copy, age ratings, and the review appeals when Apple or Google pushes back.

  • Clickable prototype approved before development starts
  • Beta builds on TestFlight and Play Internal Testing for your team
  • Store listing assets, copy, and data-safety forms prepared by us
  • Phased rollout with crash and performance monitoring from day one
  • Post-launch update cadence, so the app does not go stale in the store

FAQ

Questions we get every week

How much does mobile app development cost in Kolkata?

A focused cross-platform app with a backend and admin panel typically runs ₹4–10 lakh. Marketplace and multi-role apps run ₹12–30 lakh. Native iOS and Android built separately costs roughly double a cross-platform build. You get a fixed price against a written scope.

How long does it take to build an app?

A first store-ready version of a focused app is normally 10 to 16 weeks including design, build, testing, and store approval. Larger marketplace apps run 5 to 8 months. We ship test builds you can install from the third week onward.

Should we build native or cross-platform?

For most business apps, cross-platform with React Native or Flutter is the better call — one codebase, both stores, and materially lower maintenance. Choose native when you need heavy graphics, deep hardware access, or continuous background processing. We make this recommendation during discovery.

Do you publish the app to the App Store and Play Store?

Yes, end to end. We prepare listing copy, screenshots, privacy and data-safety declarations, handle submission under your developer accounts, and deal with any review rejections. The accounts and the app stay in your name.

Will the app work without internet?

Where it should. For field-force, delivery, and inspection apps we build an offline-first data layer that stores actions locally and syncs when connectivity returns, so staff are never blocked by a dead zone.

Who maintains the app after launch?

We do, on a monthly retainer. iOS and Android push breaking platform changes every year, so an unmaintained app degrades and eventually gets delisted. The retainer covers OS compatibility updates, crash fixes, store compliance, and enhancement hours.
